My training and years of experience:
I have over 20 years of experience working with all walks of life with experiences related to mental health, substance use and trauma. I am a registered social worker with a BSW from the University of Manitoba. Currently, I’m completing the final year of my MSW through Dalhousie University with a focus on critical theory and narrative social work practice. I have taken additional courses in CBT, DBT, MI, ACT and narrative therapy.
My style, focus and what I offer to clients:
I have so far mainly focused my practice on helping people with addictions, self-harm, eating disorders, gender exploration and mood disorders like anxiety and depression. I also have a particular passion for supporting teens. My approach to therapy is based on the principles of self-worth, curiosity, truth and relationship. When we first meet, you can expect a client-centred and holistic conversation to help us explore what brings you on the journey to counselling and what our healing relationship might look like.

I am available to meet with people in-person and virtually.
Home visits are possible on a case-by-case basis.

I commit to REACH OUT's request of one free client/year or 10 free sessions/year and beyond that, I offer sliding scale options from $0-50 hourly.
