My training and years of experience:
I’m a co-founder of Black Dog Studio, a new art therapy studio in Nelson BC. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Studies from Queen’s University and a master’s level diploma from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute (KATI).
I also work part-time with a community service agency in the role of Victim Services,
and so I can provide support and referral sources for those navigating the legal system.
My style, focus and what I offer to clients:
I am an anti-oppressive and trauma informed art therapist with training in the realm of theater. I understand the value in opening up sessions to include writing, movement, voice, and play.
Areas of focus:
Expressive arts exploration (poetry, drama, visual arts, music).
Building environmental connection.
Grief & loss processing / processing the end of relationships.
Stress and anxiety management.
Support navigating the legal system.

I commit to REACH OUT's request of one free client/year or 10 free sessions/year and beyond that, sliding scale rates are $25 - $50 an hour.
