My training and years of experience:

I have been blessed with many wonderful teachers and training over my 30 years in

nurturing care across Western Canada and the United States.
● Training and certifications in augmented communication and care

with youth and adults with autism 1988 - 2000.

● Training as a Chemical Dependency Counsellor

and experience in 12 step recovery - 1992

● Over 20 years as a Body - Centered Practitioner Certified in Swedish,

Deep Tissue, Breema, Reiki and Traditional Thai Massage - 1993 to Present.

● Registered Yoga Teacher - 2016

● Owner of Lotus Thai Massage & Wellness in Nelson,BC - 10.5 years
● Mindfulness Practitioner 1,2,3 and master level - 2018
● Therapeutic Counsellor Diploma - Orca Institute 2021-2022
● Member of Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists, The Thai

My style, focus and what I offer to clients:

I offer a supportive, person - centered, strength based and trauma informed approach to counselling. Through deep empathetic listening and reflective discussions we will
explore, gain understanding, and expand your skills and capability for creating and
maintaining fulfilling relationships with yourself and those you love.

As a Body - Centered Practitioner for over 20 years and also a Therapeutic Counsellor I have had the joy and honor of supporting many on the road to bettering their life and
healing from trauma. I offer a sensitive multicultural perspective and awareness for all
those who enter the counselling process including persons with marginalized identities.
No matter your gender, age or ability my commitment is to bring curiosity, interest and compassion to our work. Clients see me for anxiety, depression, grief and loss,
relationship issues, parenting, workplace stress, life transitions and much more. My
tools include; CBT, MIndfulness, Person-Centered, Narrative Therapy, Attachment

Theory and 12 step recovery.

I appreciate the uniqueness and needs of each person and strive to keep learning new
skills to offer and support you the best I can. It takes courage to make change and to

better your life and I am honored to join you on this path.
