My training and years of experience:

I am a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT) and have worked at community agencies supporting children and youth, as well as adults and women who have experienced abuse, childhood trauma and relational difficulties. I am passionate about Hakomi Somatic Body Based Psychotherapy and am currently completing this 2 year training. I have completed trauma counselling programmes offered by Janina Fischer and other experts in the field, and have undertaken professional training in attachment theory, internal family systems and polyvagal theory. Additionally, I will graduate with my Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP) in early 2023 in order to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. Currently I work both in private practice and at community services.

My style, focus and what I offer to clients:

I am here to align with you as we look at how to find the right answers specific to you. Whether you struggle with anxious thoughts, periods of despair, difficulties with your relationships or just feel generally unhappy and restless, or perhaps life has thrown a curve-ball that is out of your control and traumatic to integrate, I believe the wisdom of our bodies can be utilised so that you can find resonant and usable techniques to change your life. I know that inner peace and healing are absolutely attainable and I am excited to walk with you as you find a new path.

Counselling is a vulnerable step - it takes courage and vulnerability to reach out and seek support and it is important to find a counsellor who "gets" you. I believe post traumatic growth is absolutely possible and attainable. I welcome the opportunity to join with you and together we can begin this journey of healing and integration of whatever is troubling you.

I deeply resonate with the values of non-violence, mindful self awareness, and organicity to create a counselling relationship that is honouring and respectful of wherever you are at. I offer a perceptive and gentle approach which allows you to reflect on the next steps to address life's problems and I offer techniques which support you to access your internal wisdom as we navigate your world together.

I offer insights which can support you to be curious about how change is possible

so that you can find peace, strength and more resilience.
